These days, we are carrying everything and anything in our bags. I don't know the last time I carried a dainty clutch even to a dinner party. Although I could boil down my neccesities to lipstick, a mirror, cell phone, a pen and business cards, my dear husband adds his cell phone, glasses, pager, wallet and keys! Suddenly, I'm trying to close the handbag as though I were sitting on top of an overstuffed suitcase!
It's why we design such a variety of sizes, shapes, colors and styles because we know each day can bring a different demand on your accessories. The Sunisha woman as we like to call it, is flexible, colorful, ever-changing and loaded with personality. Or should we say, "pursonality"? Doesn't Julie brim with it here?
So read on my friends because summer may be hot, but it's the perfect time to roll up our sleeves and design, design, design!
Our Growing Team
We have yet to catch her eating something sweet since that's what makes her happiest, but Nicole Payne is definitely a sweet gal all around. Growing up in Savannah, GA, she has always loved fashion and diligently reads up on every aspect of the industry. As a mom and former Development Manager at the American Lung Association, Nicole is a problem-solver that rang the right doorbell! We welcome her as our Marketing Assistant and you'll be sure to meet her soon (just keep your chocolate cake safe).
Brema Ebbing is our other Georgia import (thank you Peach state!) and brings her creativity to the table as a graduate of the Savannah College of Art & Design. As a costume designer and associate at Three Muses Clothing, she isn't afraid to wear anything the occasion calls for. So while cotton candy makes her grin, she is beaming at best when she talks about design and fashion. Don't be caught off guard when our new PR Coordinator is carrying dracula fangs in her bag...she believes in being prepared for the next bite...
She never really stops sewing in her waking or sleeping hours because at the age of three, she had her foot on a sewing pedal. Meet Rosie, a Japan native and Navy veteran who has been quilting for over 25 years. Handbags entered her world in the last decade and it was pure fate when we met at a craft store. While her contagious energy along could keep anyone awake, it's her blacker than black coffee that keeps those hands humming. She's definitely our Seamstress Extraordinaire and we're so happy to have her!

Oh, to be Inspired!
I'm sure many of you have those days when you're ready to rearrange a room to give you a fresh new perspective. I have that feeling about every ten days! Even our kids love moving furniture when the seasons change...I suppose that gene comes from me. But it does make you look at things and use things differently. And so for the 102nd time, I set out to redo my studio and this time, I think I finally got it right. I now happily work in there everyday giving the kitchen table it's purpose of eating back.
Anthropologie, Pier 1 and World Market were my main inspirations. One step into those stores and the waft of yummy candles coupled with colorful decor made me think, "Why can't I bring this home?". Curious? See more here.
